Jean was born in Westerly, Rhode Island in May 1940. As a young woman, she started her own business developing educational and writing materials for teachers, a theme that continued throughout her business career.
She married the love of her life and true partner, William “Bill” Weinkauf in 1988, who preceded her to heaven, in 2009. Jean was a dedicated member of the Eastern Star Chapter of the DeGrazier Masonic Lodge. She was loved by many and known for her delicious Tuesday night dinners at the Lodge.
Her love of animals was also a constant in her life. She always made room in her heart and in her home for rescue cats and dogs.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Jennie Boyne.
Through her marriage to Bill, she is survived by three children: Carl Weinkauf, Mary Seno, and Donald Weinkauf, as well as 8 grandchildren.
A service for Jean will be held in the Chapel at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25th. We will celebrate her life and arrival in heaven where the loving arms of her best friend and love, Bill, await.
