Jean Frances (Streeter) Spurlock went to join her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 7, 2010. She was born in Coffee County (near LEBO), Kansas on August 7,1925. Her parents were Rosie and Lehman Streeter. Jean graduated from Waverly High School, Waverly, Kansas in 1943.
She worked as a Supervisor for Kansas City Life Insurance Co. for 39 years and retired in 1972. Jean married her one and only love T.L. Spurlock in December 1946 and was married for 45 years before his passing on April 22, 1991 at the age of 80.
Jean is survived by her son Ted Spurlock and daughter-in-law Sonja, granddaughter Taunya Huggett, son-in-law Brian and great grandchildren Ryan and Shaun. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Streeter of Kansas City, Kansas and nieces Kathy Sledd, Paula Cavender and nephew Rusty Streeter.
Jean moved from Merriam, Kansas in January 2008 where she had lived for fifty-two years, to Plano,Texas to be near her son and family.
Jean and her husband T.L. were both antique enthusiasts, collecting a myriad of treasures in their travels over the years; which she adored. Jean’s wonderful personality and loving smile brought her many enduring friendships throughout the years. She will be greatly missed; by both her family and friends.
Jean’s remains will be interred next to her husband at the Versailles Cemetery, Versailles, Missouri
