Jean Ruth Pliley, 82, passed away May 12, 2019 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born June 6, 1936 in Heflin, Alabama to Julius Napoleon and Vernice Bell Perryman. Jean attended Woodrow Wilson High School and was a self-employed entrepreneur. She was a member of Casa View Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, baking, gardening, volunteering, loved dogs but most of all, she loved spending time with family around the dinner table for meals.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pliley, also known as "Mr. Bill"; parents, Julius and Vernice Perryman and siblings, Joe Perryman, Burt Perryman, Jack Perryman, Jerry Perryman, Billy Charles Perryman, Wanda Bratton and Judy Hicks. Those who are left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy Vrla and husband, David, Steve Lenhart and wife, GiGi and Frances Dalton and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Carrie Hatfield and husband, Joshua, Carlie Woodlee and husband, Jacob, Taylor Griffith, Joshua Lenhart, Bailey Wilson, Rachel Lenhart and Evanne Dalton; great-grandchildren, Cody and Ryann Hatfield, Abigail Wilson, Cash, Jaxon and Noah Woodlee and Trystan Shupak; sister, Mary Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15 from 6-8pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home at 2pm on Thursday, May 16 with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
