Janie Perez peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 at the age of 91, while in care of hospice. The south Texan Native was born on December 27th, 1931, to the late, Pablo and Rosa Perez. She was the youngest of thirteen children.
Preceded in death by husband, Martin P. Rios.
Janie is survived by her seven children; Larry Perez (Susie, Dec), Rosemary Rios (Adolio), Martin Rios Jr. (Dolores), Rebecca Vela (Leonel), Susan Garcia (Cindy Young), Sandra Mata (Martin Castaneda), and Diane Rios.
She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Janie provided much love, care and understanding to all her children and grandchildren. They are all better people having been loved by her.
Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend,Janie was muched loved and will be sorely missed by us all.
There will be a wake on Wednesday, March 8th starting at 4pm and concluding at 8pm. Rosary, Martin Rios Jr and Dolores Rios starting at 6:30pm.
The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 9th starting at 10am with burial to follow. The chapel will be open starting at 9am. Pastor Martin Lopez will be officiating the funeral service and burial.
All Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln., Dallas, Texas 75220.
