Janice H. Smolenski passed away June 17, 2016 at the age of 89. Born in West Haven, CT, she was a faithful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons: Andrew, Paul, and Mark, and her grandchildren: David, Sarah and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jesse Halpin, and her husband of 35 years, Andrew J. Smolenski.
Recitation of Rosary and Visitation will be held June 20 at 7.00 pm, and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, June 21, both at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Dallas Texas. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New London, CT. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in New Haven, CT.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to either St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, 455 Whalley Ave New Haven, Ct 06511, or The Friends of the New Haven Animal Shelter, PO Box 9056 Brewery St Station, New Haven, CT 06532.
