Janet Yvonne Wilson, age 71, beloved daughter of Jeanette Wilson and the late Billy Wilson, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2023, in Lamesa, Texas. She was born on November 18, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. Janet will be remembered with deep love and cherished memories by her mother, Jeanette Wilson, her brother, Doyle Wilson and wife Kelly Wilson, her sister, Beth Horner and husband Buttons Horner, her daughter, Amy Hitchcock, her sons, Ryan Hitchcock, Kyle Forrest, and Colin Forrest, as well as her adored granddaughter, McKenna Hitchcock, and grandson, Joseph Hitchcock As well as her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Wilson, and her brother, Brian Wilson.
Janet dedicated her professional life to the noble field of nursing, serving as a Registered Nurse (R.N.). Her unwavering commitment to caring for others was a true testament to her compassionate nature and kind heart. Through her diligent work, she brought comfort and healing to countless individuals and families.
Outside of her calling as a nurse, Janet found solace and joy in various hobbies. She selflessly devoted her time to volunteering as a foster parent for not only children, but animals as well at the local ASPCA, providing temporary homes and immense love to those in need. Janet was also an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of books. Taking pleasure in the simple joys of life, she relished in the peacefulness of a well-deserved nap. Additionally, she had a fondness for the thrill and excitement of sci-fi and horror movies, finding delight in the imaginative stories they portrayed. Janet's tender-heartedness extended to her cherished dog, Maizie, with whom she shared countless moments of love and playfulness.
The loss of Janet Yvonne Wilson leaves a void that can never be filled. Her unwavering dedication to her profession, her warmth towards family and pets, and her genuine love for others will forever be etched upon the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
