Jane Freels Webb, age 85, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Born in Trion, Georgia, she soon relocated to Greenville, Alabama, during her childhood and eventually attended Auburn University. Jane moved to Dallas in 1958 to enroll in the John Robert Powers Finishing School. Her career as a model for Neiman Marcus enabled her to travel internationally for various fashion shows. She ultimately became the fashion coordinator for the Neiman Marcus Junior department. Jane was first married to Bill Daniel, and then to Bill Webb, with whom she had one daughter. She actively participated in the Meals on Wheels organization and was involved with her church, Highland Park Presbyterian.
Renowned for her classic style and sharp wit, Jane was the quintessential hostess who delighted in bringing people together for joyful gatherings. In her later years, she was called to help and befriend people from all walks of life. Her faith grew stronger, nurtured by quiet reflection and acts of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Tori Webb Pendergrass; son-in-law, Clay Pendergrass; granddaughter, Isabella Sky Pendergrass; sister, Barbara Dunbar; and brother, Jim Freels. She was preceded in death by her parents, Atha and Paul Freels, and her brother, Paul Freels.
A memorial service for Jane will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Highland Park Presbyterian, 3821 University Blvd, Dallas, TX 75205.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to VNA, Meals on Wheels or the Alzheimer’s Association.
