Mr. James Craig Toney

James received his formal education at Naples Public Schools System. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.

To the union of James C. Toney and Daisy Toney (deceased) God gave them 10 beautiful children. He leaves to cherish his most precious memories in the heart and mind of his beloved wife and companion, Mrs. Sammie J. Toney and to this union they had 3 children; and one step-son.

He worked for Herb Banister and Austin Ridge Company for many years. He operated his own business T&T Construction until his health failed him.

On the night of May 10, 2017, God whispered to him saying “Come My Sweet Child and Rest” your job is done.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Betty (Toney) McCoy; two children Betti (Toney) Wilson and James Toney, Jr.

He lives to celebrate his memories: His devoted wife Sammie Toney, his loving children: Rhonda Toney, Craig Toney (Sharon), Shallanda Minniefield (Sebastian), Randy Porter, Keith Toney (Gloria), Patricia Carey, Delois Galloway, Barbara Toney, Bonita Toney, Donna Adams, Tonia Toney, Barry Toney, Sherman Hopkins, Darlene Perkins; siblings: Kenneth Toney, Odessa Toney, Lois Toney, George Toney; 32 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
