James Robert Todd Jr.

Todd Jr., James Robert "Jack" James Robert "Jack" Todd Jr. stepped from this life March 14, 2011. Jack was born December 10, 1919 in Groesbeck, Texas. He is preceded in death by parents James R. and Lula Todd, sisters Lucille Todd Biesel, Margaret Holder and Nettie Pearl Leach, granddaughter, Natalie Smith. Jack is survived by his wife of 37 years Ann Meredith Todd, his children, James Earl Todd and Melissa Neil, Gerald Owen Todd and wife, Marilyne; daughters Jacquelyn & David Hull, Belva & Ken Smith. Step children Morris Glenn Meredith and wife Sharon, William David Meredith, III and wife Wayness; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Jack was President and CEO of Todd Oil & Investment Inc as well as Todd Oil of Louisiana. He started in the oil fields of West Texas and discovered the Brison Field in the 1950's and the little chenier Purdue field and continued to prosper in the oil fields of Louisiana. The family would like to thank David & Jacquelyn Hull who was there daily for a year along with the support of many friends these past months. Pallbearers are Ronnie Davis, Joe Barraco, Bob Hawes, Robert Fineberg, Chuck Fraze, David Santos. Honorary pallbearers, Ronnie Carson. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2011 in the Grove Hill Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park. John Livaudais officiating.
