Storey, James G. “Jim.” Passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2014, surrounded by his family. Born June 22, 1932, in Dallas. Jim enjoyed a 49-year banking career in Dallas, before and after his service in the Korean Conflict, where he was awarded, among other medals, the Combat Infantryman Badge. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Faye, daughters Deborah Storey Simmons and Cindy Storey Conrad, son-in-law Dennis M. Conrad, grandchildren David Conrad and wife Karen Lewis, Brian Conrad, and Sarah Simmons, and brother John B. Storey. He was predeceased by his mother, father, three sisters, and son-in-law Wm. David Simmons. Jim loved his family and always put them first. He also enjoyed his friends, was an avid golfer and traveler, and enjoyed cards, reading history, watching old Western movies, keeping a beautiful yard, and grilling steaks and hamburgers with his “secret sauce.” Memorial service will be at University Park United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to University Park United Methodist Church.
