My sweet husband, James H. Moore, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016, after 36 years of a (mostly) delightful, funny, and happy marriage. He started in Ripley, TN on July 2, 1938 as the son of sharecroppers and was the first in his family to put himself through college. He ultimately earned three degrees, four engineering patents, a successful career that included working on the Apollo space program, and opportunities that enabled us to live in many countries around the world.
Our lives have been greatly enriched by our six children – Kim, Lori, Karen, Steve, Brett, and Amy and their spouses; our ten grandchildren and their spouses; and two great-grandchildren. We love them all dearly and I know they will continue to be a great source of love and support to me.
Our extended family of Jim’s siblings – Virginia, Kenny, Terry, Ricky, and Cissy and their families as well as my sister, Patti, and her family have also been a very important part of our lives.
Jim was a blessing to his entire family and was especially appreciated for his wisdom, wit, and encouragement. His many friends and co-workers over the years have also been a very special part of our lives. He will be deeply missed every day.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the www.operationkindness.org in honor of James H. Moore, or a charity of your choice.
