James Richard Miller, 77, passed away December 25, 2010. Jim was born in Reading, PA on August 19, 1933 and was an honor graduate of Reading High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1952, and graduated from Officer Candidate School at Ft. Sills, OK in 1953. He proudly served as an artillery officer in Korea and Japan. He was honorably discharged from military service in 1968, Major (Arty) USAR, and became a lifetime member of the VFW. After the military he was a computer programmer analyst in Dallas. He loved playing golf, travelling and had a great sense of humor. Proceeded in death by parents, Henry S. and Sara Snyder Miller; sisters, Carol M. Merker and Nancy L. Miller. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda and daughter, Tanja Miller-Nagy and a number of loving relatives. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
