Jim graduated from North Dallas High School in 1949. He soon joined the Navy for 4 years. He then attended North Texas State College (UNT) and graduated from there in 1957
While in college, he met and married Louise Prescott on August 30, 1957 (one day before his birthday!). They were married nearly 66 years.
Jim had a 42 year career with State Farm Insurance. He was a respected boss who tried to always treat his employees with respect and fairness.
Jim was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and spent much time in his Bible study.
He served in various capacities of the churches. He was a Deacon at Seagoville First Baptist Church, as well as at First Baptist Dallas. He also served on the board of Elders at Redeemer Bible Church Dallas.
Besides his wife, Jim is survived by 3 children: Mark(Cindy), Greg(Karen), and Judy(Greg) Schulle; 5 grandchildren: Shelly (Bubba) Hartis, Duran(Tiffany), Eric(Amber), Nathan(Morgan) Jenkins, and Sean Schulle; 8 great grandchildren: Carly Hartis(Dylan) Tucker, Cassy Hartis, Anna, Bryn, Hudson, Holden and Harrison Jenkins, and Nolan Schulle; and 3 great great grandchildren: Ellie, Hays, and Grayson Tucker. Jim was very proud of his growing family.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Saturday July 29, 2023 at Redeemer Bible Church, 721 Easton Rd, Dallas, TX 75218.
Jim will be sorely missed but we know that we will join him some day in Heaven.
