He is preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Elizabeth Fernandez. He is survived by his son, Jarrett Fernandez Zmolik, daughter, Jamie Fernandez Zmolik and two grandsons; brothers, John, Paul, Peter and Robert Fernandez; sisters, Jeanette Faulkenberry, Agnes Palacios, Mary Craft and Michelle Garza; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
James was a kind and caring man. He was also a loving father that was involved in coaching his children’s sports when they were growing up. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A graveside service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
