Mr. James Delo Douglas, age 92, of Garland, Texas passed away on Sunday April 5, 2020. James was born December 10, 1927 in Sherman, Texas to Ray and Ada Douglas. He will be interred at the DFW National Cemetery on Friday, April 10th at a private ceremony.
James was raised in Alba, Texas and after high school he joined the military and began his honorable military career. He was a three war veteran serving 2 years in the US Navy during WWII, and 20 years in the US Army serving active duty during the Korean conflict and Vietnam war. While he was stationed in Germany, James met and married the love of his life, Elfriede. They enjoyed over 60 years of wonderful marriage together. He retired in 1968 after 22 years of decorated military service. Following, he continued work in the electronics and technology service field until he retired in 1993.
James is survived by his wife Frieda; brother Lee Franklin (R.L.); children Adonna, Tom, Ron (wife Lori), and Ray (wife Christy); grand children Chace, Jordan, J.T., Tyler, Caty, Raena, and Kate; and great grand children Ashten, Ethan, Shelby, Charliegh, Kayla, Caprí, and J.J.
