Jackie Gene Turner

Jack Turner passed away on December 8th, 2022, in Mansfield, TX at the age of 81. He was born on March 26th, 1941, in Trumann City, AR to parents Raymond Turner and Flossie Hayes. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1964. He then spent the next 20 plus years working at the Dallas Morning News. He married his late wife, Peggy Turner on September 1st, 1973 and remained married to Peggy until her passing in February of 2022. Jack was an avid golfer and spent nearly every day on a golf course. When he was not golfing, he was taking his wife and grandkids on road trips across the United States. Jack was the most loving husband, father, Papa and Great-Grandpa anyone could ask for.

He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Flossie, his beautiful wife Peggy Turner, his brothers Charles and William “Bill” Turner and his sister Shirley Olsen.

Left to cherish his memory is his sisters Dorothy Martin and Catherine McCombs, his brother Raymond Turner Jr., his sons Brian and Jeff Turner, his grandchildren Chandler and Sara Turner, and his great-grandchildren Liam and Elizabeth Turner.
