Norma, I just became aware that Jack passed away last Sept.  I am so sorry and you have my sincerest sympathy.
It was always so much fun to see him when he called on us at Owens & Brumley all those years ,and when we saw you with him occasionally.    My mother will be 100 this year (Gwinn Brumley) and I cannot believe we sold the funeral homes 10 years ago this year.  My best to you in the coming years.  I live in Dallas now.    Jerry Van Loh

I met Jack in 1961 when I worked at Macon-Holcomb Funeral Home in Pleasant Grove. I was just a kid of sixteen years old. Jack would come by and take all the guys to the Wyatts Cafeteria to eat. I always thought Jack was a nice person because he even treated me, a sixteen year old as an adult.

Norma & family, Although I couldn't be there today at Jack's service, I can tell you my spirit was with all of you; as I have viewed these memorable photos online it brings back so many  great times we had with Jack & you Norma.  Jack was a giving and fun person and he left me with a whole  lot of common sense & wisdom that have helped me thru the years.  I always listened to him very closely because I knew how smart Jack was!  Norma, we love you...you are family, call on us if you need to.

Mrs. Diamond, I just received this notice this morning, otherwise I would have been there for Jack's service.  He called on us in Wichita Falls over the years where my Father, Raby Hampton, and I ran our family business.  It was always a pleasure to see Jack come through the back door where he called all the staff by their first name and always, always had donuts.  He was a pleasure to be around and he influenced my life in many ways.  No matter what was going on, he always had a great smile and took time to just visit. I so fondly remember growing up and coming to Dallas to visit the Diamonds and later when you had the house on Lake Bonham near my parents.
