Jack Larry Cooper was born on February 23, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee. He died very peacefully on March 27, 2014 with his daughter, daughter-in-law, son and caretakers at his bedside. He had a private graveside funeral March 30, 2014. Jack fought a courageous battle with health issues that U.T. Southwestern and Mayo Clinic identified. He was never afraid, never complained, never felt sorry for himself and remained positive, tough and extremely appreciative of those that helped him during the last years of his life.
Jack was a top level executive with Cargill, Inc. and was President of Cargill Steel. Jack was also President of Zelrich Steel Company for many years. Jack graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA. He thoroughly enjoyed his job and worked very hard for many years. Jack loved people and always lit up the room with his positive and happy charisma.
Predeceased by his wife, Jeanette. Jack was a beloved Husband, Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather and Uncle. With his kind and generous heart he always showed endless love, understanding, support and positive encouragement without criticism nor judgment to his wife, children and family. As a great father he was always there to gently help guide his children. He will be dearly missed.
