Irma Zarate, 89 yrs old, of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, was born to Rosaura and Fidel Aguirre on September 28, 1928.
Irma passed away peacefully on July 4th surrounded by her family.
She grew up in Monterrey with her two brothers, Fidel and Guadalupe Aguirre. She worked at Alanis Jr. clothing store for 21 years then moved to Dallas when she married Encarnacion Zarate.
She worked for Leticia Olivo as a seamstress until 2015. She was a member of Cathedral Shrine of Guadalupe.
She is survived by her daughter Dariela Zarate and six step children: Anita Revilla of Houston (husband Margarito), Ruby Almazan of Garland, Ofelia Zarate of Dallas, Francisco "Frank" Zarate of Dallas (wife Nika), Armando Zarate of Dallas (wife Valerie), Robert "Bobby" Zarate of Dallas (wife Hilda).
Irma is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Encarnacion Zarate, her parents Rosaura and Fidel Aguirre, two brothers Fidel and Guadalupe Aguirre and step daughter Anita Revilla.
She will be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren Deborah, Diego, Santiago, Dulce and several step grandchildren. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews from the Aguirre and Zarate families.
Mi madre fue muy apreciada por todos los que la conocian por su amabilidad, gran fe y fortaleza. She always helped everyone without expecting anything in return. Irma was a woman that would welcome everyone with open arms. She loved everybody and never expected for you to love her back. Heaven gain one of the sweetest angels that they could of received. She will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home from 4:00pm-8:00pm, rosary will be at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 2:00pm at the North Chapel at Calvary Hill. Burial will follow after the mass.
