She married Joe Moreno and the couple had five children. She was a Medical Records Specialist at Parkland Hospital where she worked for more than 35 years.
Irene was proud of her beloved school and later became a board member at St. Ann's alongside Albert Gonzalez Sr. Her greatest passion and achievement while being a board member was getting the Landmark Designation. She attended all the meetings and did everything in her power to accomplish this goal. She was an extraordinary example of what the power of a simple smile and positive can do attitude can achieve.
In her spare time Irene enjoyed traveling all over the world, she had the pleasure of visiting Rome, France, Israel, Turkey and Greece. She would help senior citizens with rides and food whenever she could. But, above all she loved spending time with her family.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a wonderful, caring, generous, witty, loving, fun Mom and Grandma.
She is survived by: brother, Armando Esquivel and wife Francis; son, Charles Moreno Villarreal; son, Edward Moreno and wife Brenda; daughter, Rosemary Moreno Morin; daughter, Roberta Moreno; son, Henry Moreno and wife Argelia Hernandez; and seventeen grandchildren.
Rest in Peace, Irene Arellano Moreno!
