Huey Clarence Blackman was the 14th born to Huey Samuel Blackman and Ida Azalia Higginbotham on July 13, 1929. Clarence was fondly nicknamed "Mickey" because he was born in 1929 the year Mickey Mouse made his appearance on screen. Clarence was also called "Skeet" who loved birds especially pigeons which he began raising them as a young boy. He was a natural Carpenter by trade and also enjoyed an maintained his own garden.
Huey Blackman is preceded in death by: grandparents; John Taylor Blackman and Susan Blake Blackman, parents; Huey Samuel Blackman and Ida Higginbotham. He is also preceded by siblings; Lucy Lavada, Velma Ruth, Orbuy Charles "Bud", Jessie Cloe, Trannis Lafond, J.T. "Bill, Dorothy, Edna Katherine, Elbert Deroy, Horace Jack, Margie Sue and one daughter, Julie Ann Blackman.
Huey is survived by his endearing wife, Helen Ruth Lewis Blackman, two daughters; Mary Headrick and Sharon Blackman as well as grand daughter Jennifer Lynn Smith Dimas and great grand daughter Lillyana Neaveh Reyes.
