Homero Rodriguez

Homero was born on August 7, 1926 in Thurber, Texas, a son of the late Blas and Sara (Gonzales) Rodriguez.

Homero married Tomasa Guerrero on February 22, 1948 and together had six children: Juanita ( husband Joe), Maria Louisa (husband Tom), Raquel (husband Blaine), Ruben (wife Monica), Raul and Tomasa (husband Carlos).

He is preceded in death by his wife: Tomasa G. Rodriguez who passed away on December 18, 2012.

He is also precdeded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter: Victoria Allysa Pena.

He leaves his memories to be cherished by his loving family and siblings: Manuel Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Everardo Rodriguez, Guillermo Rodriguez, Gregorio Rodriguez, Maria Argentina Rodriguez, Dora Rodriguez, and Amparo Ramirez.

Homero and Tomasa enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading the bible and caring for God's creation through planting trees and gardening.

He especially loved to be surrounded by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is a proud patriot and U.S. Army Veterans serving his country during World War II, assigned to the Tank Destroyer battalion, at the age of 19 years.

A visitation for Homero will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Calvary Hill North Chapel, located at 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.

The rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Homero will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 12:00 Noon, also at Calvary Hill North Chapel.

Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery where Homero will be laid to rest with his wife Tomasa. Army military honors will be accorded.
