Hilda L. Hensarling

Hilda L Hensarling born February 15, 1927 in Clinton, Indiana to Thomas Salmond and Lucille Hutton Salmond. Passed away July 12 in Dallas, TX. at age 90. Survived by husband Nolan B. Hensarling, children, Nancy Reynolds Egan, Roger Wayne Reynolds, Jr and wife Rita, Janet Reynolds Asher and husband Tracy, step children Gary Hensarling and wife Shelly, Susan Hensarling Nahkunst, Georgia Hensarling Armstrong and husband Beyrl, grandchildren David and Andrew Asher and Amber Fortune, and Madeline Hensarling, great-grandchildren Liam and Fiona Boden and Delia Brimer, Brooke and Alison Allen. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wayne and Bernard Salmond, former husband Roger Reynolds, granddaughter Aunika Boden and son-in-law David Egan.

She attended Purdue University from 1945-1949 and was a member Kappa Alpha Theta.

She was an avid reader, knitter, genealogist and historian. She enjoyed her family, friends, traveling, PBS, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.

She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone that had the pleasure to know her.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225.
