Henry Ray Gann

Henry Ray Gann, age 95, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2022 his home surrounded by family. He was born July 14, 1927 in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. His parents were John Gann and Margaret Deen Gann.

Henry was preceded in death by brothers; John Wiley Gann and Milburn Brook Gann, sister; Margaret Ann Gann Savage, two sons; John Hubert Gann and Michael Ray Gann and granddaughter; Haileigh Light.

He is survived by wife; Mildred Laverne Shahan Gann, son; David Brook Gann, son in law; Brian Earl Eaton, daughter; Leslie Renee Gann, three grandchildren; Hunter Light, Brendan York and Cloee York.

Henry worked as a plumber and in 1975 was employed by the City of Dallas as a Plumbing Inspector, retiring in 1995. Henry spent his retirement enjoying his family, friends and traveling.

His family and friends were blessed to have him in their lives so many years. Henry will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

A visitation for Henry will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232.
