Helen Louise Tarver, 92, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2014 at her home in Dallas, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 12 PM in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Helen was born on December 23, 1921 in Dallas, TX to Ray Perry and Lottie Jane Litton. She was the second of six children. Helen graduated from Crozier Tech High school and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 37 years before retiring. She attended Hampton Place Church of God in years past and then in later years attended Rosemont Christian Center. In her later years, she truly enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers games. Helen was a devoted wife and mother and a beloved sister, aunt and friend to all. She will be dearly missed. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joe Tarver; two brothers, Frank and Perry Litton; and her beloved son, Larry Joe Tarver, who tragically passed away a short time before she did. Those left to treasure her memory are her two sisters: Flora Clem and Martha McNellis; brother, James Litton and wife Jean; sister-in-law, Vera Litton; nieces, nephews, other extended family and countless friends.
