Mother Helen Marie Carter was born in Huntsville, TX to Remy and Mildred Watkins Kizzie on August 1, 1942. She was the youngest girl out of 15 children. Although she went to school only two days out of the week and picked cotton the remaining days, it never deterred her from learning and pushing her way through the world. She was a dedicated employee for the Carrolton-Farmers Branch school district for 28 years where she later retired and spent the remaining of her time here on Earth being a blessing to others by her presence.
Mother Carter married N.H. Carter on October 1963 in Huntsville, TX and from their union they produced four children Margie Moon, Fred Arthur Carter, Willie Carter, and Renea George.
Mother Carter was a faithful member of Eastside Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Supt. F. G Sowells. She began her service as a member of the usher board and then transitioned to be a part of the Mother’s board.
Helen Marie Carter is preceded in death by her parents Remy Kizzie, Mildred Watkins Kizzie, and all 14 of her brothers and sisters.
Mother Helen Carter is survived by her husband N. H. Carter, her four children: Margie Moon (Timothy Moon), Fred Arthur Carter (Jennifer Carter), Renea George (Joshua George), Willie Carter, 12 grandchildren: Willonda Carter, Tamika Ayers (Mark Ayers Jr.), Brittany Carter, Tameshia Carter, LaShannon Coleman, Rachel Moon, Andria Coleman, Rebecca Moon, Timotheus Moon, Destiny Carter, Tyjanique Carter, Fred Carter Jr., 12 great-grandchildren: DeMariyah, Makiaya, Enveii, Atiah, Kyng, Courtney Jr, Nehemiah, Mookie, Kasi, Genesis, Gianni, Genesis A., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
