Harry Sebel, 84, of Dallas passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew and loved him.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 2, 1931 to Margaret Klein and Harry L. Sebel Sr, he attended the Chicago Lab School for Gifted Children and was one of the famous Quiz Kids. He was graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Journalism going on to earn a Masters in Retailing from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Journalism from Northwestern University.
He was a unique man, a romantic, feisty, individualistic and generous with a sharp mind and a quick wit. He loved Rotary, pursued his hobby of breeding and exhibiting scottish terriers for 45 years and devoted 25 years to supporting his beloved alma mater, Indiana University.
Harry's loving family, including his wife of 35 years, Priscilla, his 2 children Lauren Sebel, Lee Sebel, his 3 step-children and their spouses, Jonathan Zeitler and wife Cynthia Baker, Jennifer Clayman and husband Dean, Jane Belli and husband Stephen, and his 8 grandchildren will keep his memory in their hearts.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Robert A. and Sandra S.
