After a lifetime of ministry and serving the Lord as a minister for over 50 years, Harry Eugene Carpenter age 85, longtime resident of Lancaster, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 20, 2018. Harry was born on May 15, 1932 in Forney, Oklahoma. Harry always loved serving God’s people, for over 22 years he and his wife, Doris served and ministered to the homeless at the Union Gospel Mission in Dallas, Texas.
Harry is preceded in death by both parents, Harry Carpenter and Mary Williams; a son, David Harper; a daughter, Brenda Glover and nine other siblings. Harry is survived by a loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Doris (Johnston) Carpenter; two daughters, Debbie Clark and husband Harold Clark, Patty Lawrence and husband Gerald Lawrence; Harry had 25 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends that will miss Harry dearly.
