Harold Ann Prince was born on February 16, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to Montgomery Ashford and Billie Jean Prince-Carr & stepfather William Carr. She graduated from I. M. Terrell in 1966, then in 1991 she graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts.
After moving to Dallas, Texas she began working at Dallas County Health and Human Services as a Social Worker in 1966. She changed career in the late 1980’s to become a substitute teacher educating students at the District Independent School District (DISD).
She was an former active and a dedicated member and Administrative Assistant at Concord Baptist Church, former senior pastor Dr. E. K. Bailey (deceased) and current senior pastor Bryan L. Carter in Dallas, Texas. After serving at Concord Baptist Church, Harold continued her service, and became an active and dedicated member at Singing Hills Baptist Church in Dallas, TX under Dr. H.E. Anderson Sr., Senior Pastor, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher until her passing.
Harold Ann Prince died peacefully in Parkland Memorial Hospital on August 9, 2021, in Dallas Texas, at the age of 74.
Harold Ann Prince is preceded in death by Montgomery Ashford and Billie Jean Carr & step-father William C. Carr of Kernes, Texas. Kevin Prince (son) preceded her in death of Dallas, Texas.
Harold Ann is survived by grandchildren: Valery Prince, Rachel Little (Nathanael); great-grand children: Cecilia Flanagan, Khayr Prince, Isaiah Little, Daphnie Little, Tanisha Durrett-Simpson (niece). She also leaves in her memory and legacy: Mary Sanchez, Rosalind Carr-Anderson, Angela Carr and Tonya Carr. Step-brothers: Lincoln Ashford, Aaron Ashford, Henry Ashford(preceded her in death), William C. Clifford, step-sister: Mona Ashford, Kenneth McCreary (uncle) and Robert W. McCreary (uncle), Ann Powers (special cousin), Grecian Holly (best friend) and a host of nieces and nephews.
