Guadalupe Jose Martinez, Jr., age 66, passed away on November 25, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. He was born December 10, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Guadalupe Jose Martinez, Sr. and Maria Del Carmen Martinez. Lupe was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Bishop Dunne High School in 1970.
He married Betty Martinez in 1987 and the couple had six children. He was an Engineer at St. Paul Hospital where he worked for more than 36 years.
In his spare time Lupe enjoyed camping with family. He loved taking excursions with the grandkids every summer and loved riding ATV's with his family while barbecuing for them. He was also a sports fan, you could always find him routing for his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys. He was also a huge fan of boxing and was a boxer himself.
His family and friends will always remember him as a strong, encouraging, compassionate, loving and generous person who was always willing to help others. He put everyone's needs before his own. He would even give his last dollar or go to the extended mile to make sure those around him were always taken care of.
He is preceded in death by: father, Guadalupe Martinez, Sr.; grandmothers, Esther Hernandez and Ignacia Martinez; grandfathers, Jose Hernandez and Gregorio Martinez; grandchildren, Trevor Austin Enochs and Jeffrey Daniel Acord.
He is survived by: wife, Betty Martinez; mother, Maria Del Carmen Martinez; step brother, Ricardo Martinez; sisters, Rosalinda Figueroa and Isabel Gastanadui; step sisters, Carmela Martinez; children, Rosalina with husband Vincent Camacho, Angela with husband Charlie Smith, Gabriel with wife Lauryn Martinez, Donnie with wife Carmen Prince, David with wife Yvonne Prince and Christie with husband Danny Acord; grandchildren, D'Anna Camacho, Taylor Enochs, Denise Martinez, Micah Martinez, Cayden Martinez, Noah Martinez, Toby Rouse, Alexis Prince, John Ross, Eric Prince, Coraleigh Skaggs, Justin Acord and Olivia Prince; great-grandchildren, Liam Rouse, Zaerli Rouse, David Shermer Jr., Paysly Shermer, Payton Shermer and Emberly Skaggs.
