Gregory “Gregg” Darnall was a loving and kind son, father, granddad, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He knew no stranger, as all people he treated with the familiarity and kindness of a friend. His favorite things to do were laughing, loving, listening, joking, dancing, volunteering with the Dallas Children's Charities, attending weekly happy hours with friends, and riding his bike at White Rock Lake. He touched a vast number of lives, and many we will never know about, as his generosity of spirit and his empathy extended well beyond his immediate circle.
When you remember Gregg, my daddy, remember him laughing, joking, and dancing. Remember his amazing character and integrity. Remember how he was always the bigger person and always the kindest guy in the room. Remember that he took on raising a baby he called his own, but didn't have to. Smile and laugh when you think of him, because that's what he would want each of us to do…to continue laughing and dancing until we see him again and can laugh and dance alongside him in heaven.
Gregg is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Thompson; son-in-law, Travis Thompson; grandchildren, Griffin and Luke Thompson; brothers, Mike and Joe Darnall; sister-in-law, Christie Darnall; niece, Annamarie Hall, and spouse, Tom Hall, and their 2 children, Cassidy and Bailey Hall; niece Alicia Baker and spouse, Eddie Baker, and their 3 children, Gabby, Tonya, and Josh. Gregg is also survived by his infamous pseudonyms, which will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him best, Anastasia Beaverhausen and Frank Louhall Lopitowitz.
