He grew up in Dallas Tx. and enjoyed many things from spending time with family and friends to watching sports. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys as well as a huge fan of Nascar but his passion was Music. He started singing in the early 1970's with the True Kings Band and his career expanded into the mid 1990's. He sang with different musicians and even had his band at one time. His love for music continue throughout his life. He was a great man with a heart of GOLD. Kike was always willing to help someone when he could. He loved watching a good western movie but his all time favorite movie was The GODFATHER he would watch it every chance allotted.
He was a son, brother, cousin, friend, nephew and a wonderful father but most all he was the best uncle there ever was.
He is survive by his mother; Hortense Flores, niece; Darlene Castillo, son's; Chris Castillo and Greg Castillo, siblings; Christine Gonzalez (Johnny), Gollita Etheridge (Jack) and Johnny Castillo, grandchildren Greg Burke and Morgan Castillo and 5 great grandchildren, nephews Juan and Ricky and nieces Rachel, Samantha and Melanie, 5 great niece's and 1 great nephew also his dear Tia's Lupe and Virginia Castillo and Rosa Castillo, numerous cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by brother Joe R. Torres
He is loved dearly by all those who knew him and he will be missed.
