Gloria brought joy and laughter wherever she went, her vibrant energy and fun-loving spirit endeared her to all who knew her. Gloria's heart overflowed with love for her beloved Lollipop, her mixed Maltese/Poodle, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Francisco Paul Mendoza (Jayne) of Cedar Hill, and her daughter, Lisa Marie Valdez (Sam) of Midlothian. Gloria was a devoted grandmother to Francisco Paul Mendoza Jr. (Valarie), Christopher J. Mendoza (Laura), Valerie Martinez (Brian), Gabriel D. Garza (Mayra), Sam Valdez III (Amber), Alyssa Gloria Gonzales (Michael), and Alexander Frank Valdez (Brenda), along with 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah T. Romero (Craig) of Longview.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Mendoza, her father, Euell Jean Thibodeaux, and her mother, Guadalupe Falcon Thibodeaux.
Gloria attended McCollum High School in San Antonio and pursued a career in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant. She was a devout member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Dallas.
In her leisure time, Gloria indulged in her passions, including painting, arts and crafts, dancing, fishing, and the occasional trip to the casino. She also relished shopping outings and cherished visits to her sister in Longview.
Funeral services for Gloria Jean Mendoza will be conducted by Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
