She was born in Stedman, NC on April 20, 1931. Gladys graduated from Cape Fear High School.She was married to Ewell Sylvester Fleming on November 4, 1950, an army veteran of 30 years and was stationed with him in several states and in Germany. After his retirement, Gladys was an owner with her spouse Ewell of a shoe business in Colorado Springs. She was a dedicated mother of five children with a strong faith in Jesus Christ.
She was survived by children Ken, Ron, Vic (surviving spouse of sibling Ed), Steve, and Gary Fleming and grandchildren Kevin, Katie, Nathan, Rachel, Hannah, Jessie, Jamie, Jordan, Zachary, Lexie, Stephanie, Holly, Ken, Sydney, and Noah Fleming.
A funeral will be held privately.
