Geri graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1952 and attended Louisiana State University. She was a fashion model for number of department stores and worked for a real estate agency in Baton Rouge.
Geri and Lou met in January 1960 and married December 2, 1960. They were relocated to New York City by a Dallas firm and later purchased a beautiful three story Georgian colonial home on Pine Hill Road in Demarest, New Jersey, 25 miles from Times Square. All three children were born in New Jersey during their 15 year stay.
They moved to Dallas in 1976 into a new ranch home in far north Dallas. It was located on Glenneagle Dr. in Highlands North near Coit and Campbell Roads.
Like Demarest, Geri was into activities in Dallas. She loved shopping, cooking, housekeeping, raising the children, jewelry, traveling, decorating, and was a very good investor. She cooked many gourmet meals that were enjoyed by family and friends. Her primary focus was loving and caring for her husband and ensuring her children grew up with support, love, and happiness in order to be successful.
In August 2008, Geri and Lou moved to Highland Springs, an Erickson retirement living, located on Coit and Frankford Roads. They quickly loved the facilities, the staff, and the residents.
In September 2008, Lou was told he had ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease, and had 2-5 years as there is no cure. Another nightmare happened in November 2009 as Geri received the terrible news that she had stage four lung cancer although she was a non-smoker. The doctors advised that she had 6 to 8 months, but she was a fighter for 11 months and died peacefully in her sleep on October 18, 2010.
Geri was a naturally stunningly beautiful woman who was loved by those who met and knew her. She will be sorely missed by her loving family, relatives, and friends.
