George was a unique, kind, and generous soul with a great sense of humor. He had friends from all walks of life, all religions, political affiliations, cultures, and creeds. He loved discussing his wide range of interests with friends, especially over a glass of fine wine.
He was brilliant, with a photographic memory. He was a lifetime learner, and you never knew what his next fascination might be. Once he developed an interest in something, he quickly soaked up every detail. He memorized the best vintages and regions of multiple vineyards. He knew all about coins, sports, cars, and music. He loved quick trips to Vegas for a day of gambling. He valued education, and attended several universities, graduating from TCU.
He was dedicated to the family business, and was considered an ethical, fair, and compassionate landlord to his tenants, whom he considered friends.
George is survived by his daughter, Melissa Radoe, and her husband Dave, and his grandson, Cooper, whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Russell (Rick), nieces, and many friends.
Services will be in the Hillcrest Sparkman chapel on Thursday, June 27th at 10am.
There will be a celebration of his life on July 10, 2024 at 6pm at The Stoneleigh P, where we can share stories and smile and laugh and honor him.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to North Texas Food Bank.
