George Bryan Higgins Jr.

George B. Higgins, Jr was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on March 5, 1920. He attended University of Oklahoma graduating with a BS in Business in 1943. He served as an officer in the Navy in WWII. After the war he returned to OU and entered Law School graduating in 1949. His career was in the Oil industry and retired from Sun Oil Co. in 1983.

In 1949, George married Marian Bean. Their marriage produced three children Anne, Bryan and David.

George's life centered around his family, job and church. In retirement George and his wife traveled the world. He also spent many happy days volunteering at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano.

George was predeceased by his life love Marian. He went to be with her and his Lord on September 5, 2013. He is survived by daughter Anne and son-in-law Jim Diggins of Danville, CA: son Bryan Higgins of Euless, TX and granddaughters Samantha, Iris and Zoe Higgins of Sandy, OR. He leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who love him dearly. He will be sorely missed.

Memorial Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano on Monday September 9, 2013 at 2pm.

Burial will be held at the DFW National cemetery on September 11, 2013 at 11:15am.
