Gail Capellino Winter

Gail was born in Torrance, CA in 1954 to Joseph and Genevieve Capellino, who raised her to be fierce, strong and independent. Gail attended Rolling Hills High School before studying business at California State University, Long Beach. Gail spent almost 40 years working for GTE and Verizon, where she was a successful leader and supervisor for the corporation.

Gail lived for her two children, Vincent Winter and Anna Crisp. Gail would say that her grandchildren were the greatest blessing in her life. She enjoyed playing with them and spoiling them every chance she could. Gail always had a smile on her face and was truly loved by all of her family and friends.

Gail is survived by her husband, Robert Winter; son, Vincent Winter and his wife Whitney; her daughter, Anna Crisp and her husband Jed; her grandchildren, Harper Crisp, Landry Crisp, Zedekiah Crisp, Laurel Winter; her mother, Genevieve Capellino; siblings Annetta Daily, Richard Capellino, Mark Capellino ,Teresa Carmack and their spouses. Gail was also adored by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Capellino; niece, Melissa Daily; nephew, James Carmack; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Daily and Rodney Sanborn.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Gail’s name to help end childhood cancer!

We will be scheduling a Celebration of Life and set the date in coordination with Gail’s loved ones.
