It has been a year since you left us. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about you. This Thanksgiving had to be so very difficult for Becky Tim and Kate to get through. All of Sally's family, Jim, Tom and Peggy have also suffered a great loss when Sally left us on August 23. I miss both of you deeply this has taken such a toll on everyone in your lives to lose you both so soon. My heart, prayers and thoughts will never 
diminish. You are  so fortunate to have so many family and friends and co-workers in your and Sally's life that truly love and miss you both.
You and Sally will always be in my heart.

The thirty years I occasionally worked with you are memorable. God rest your grand soul.

I had the pleasure of working with then Lt. Wendt at S.I.D. and he was the most pleasant person ever, always the gentleman. He always spoke of his family. Not only has the Sheriff's Department lost an great person, so has the world. God bless you all.

Sally and family... Scott has many memories of his time with Fred at DSO.  We enjoyed so many nights with you guys and your kids when they were just starting out. May God hold you all in the palm of His hands.

Tina and I are very sorry to learn of Fred's passing. I knew and worked for and with Fred many times over my career. Fred was a good man. We will keep your family in our prayers. May he rest in peace.

I will remember Captain Wendt as a good man and a hard working man. It was a pleasure to know him and work for him at DSO intake. We will miss you sir. RIP

Fred was a good guy and neighbor. He was always willing to give a hand when needed. I'll miss having him next door. Sally, I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

Fred was a special person.  He worked and protected us at Johnny's Liquor for years.  Blessings to all the family in this time of sorrow.

To Sally and the Wendt children; words can not express the sorrow that my heart feels at the passing of my friend. I was in the academy class that followed Fred's in 1980. We worked together on many, many occasions over the years. I last worked with Fred in Central Intake on evenings as his sergeant. On one occasion I had a very long stay in the hospital. I was out of paid time off and not drawing a paycheck. At this time I was not assigned to Fred, but he found out and came to see me in the hospital. Knowing my situation and that I had 6 children and a stay home wife, Fred called me each week to see if I needed money or anything else. That's the kind of man Fred was. I guess Fred had me in his cell phone as “Timothy” because I use to get a lot of the emails that Fred was sending his son Timothy. It kept us in touch. We went through a couple of difficult year's together working on that evening shift. Fred always made the best of it for us. I just wanted to let you know how much your husband and your father meant to me. That he made a positive impact in my life and I will never forget him. Praying for God's hands of comfort to hold you securely during this time of loss.
