Like a candle in the wind. I'll miss you bro.

I always respected Butch from the first year I moved to DeSoto. There was an incident during football season that led to him being made to run an extreme amount as punishment. Two others that were involved quit but he stayed and finished what he was assigned to do. I will never forget the way he handled that and what an influence it had on me. I was so glad to have been in touch with him recently. Our prayers are with his family.

My thoughts and prayer go out to all of you today. Butch was a great guy. He fought the good fight, is now at peace, and is no longer in any pain.

I had not seen Butch in many years, but he held a special place in my heart as he did many many other of his friends.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Remember that smile!

I will miss Butch as I believe so many others will as well. He was a life long friend of mine and I cherish the time we had together however short that it was. He fought a valiant battle for so many years and I was so proud of him as many would have given up long ago. He rests in peace.

I am comforted in knowing, you are in heaven watching down on us as we will miss you tremendously.  The greatest gift we have is our wonderful memories of you Butch... your grin that would always leave us wondering, what you were up to.. he he... I will keep your family and loved ones in my prayers for comfort in  their grief... I am bless to have known you.  God Speed!

Butch had a contagious smile that I'm sure is even more beautiful in Heaven. He is finally healed in the hands of his Lord.

To the friends & family of Butch Murdock:

Butch is like a brother to me.  I've known him ever since they came to De Soto and I'm thinking that was since 1st grade.  Butch was my daughter's Father~Terry Bolton's Best friend.  Butch would always come to my Mom's house every time Terry came over.  I think Terry was scared and also I believe that Butch came because he loved my Mom's cooking so much!  LOL  I was blessed to be able to spend some good quality time with Butch at different functions while Butch was still feeling well in the past several years.  I'm forever grateful that I was able to ask Butch if he had made Jesus Christ his savior.  He assured me that he had and as a matter of fact I prayed with him several times about his illness.  I have no doubt where Butch is now.  He's walking the streets of Gold probably holding his Mama's hand.  I'm sure she met him at the Pearly Gates with open arms to greet him.  I'm so thankful that Butch is not suffering anymore.  I thank God for the memories that we shared.  He will forever be in my heart!  

Revelation 21:4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away!  

Rest in Peace sweet friend!  We will forever hold you in our hearts #25!!  God Bless the sweet family and may God's Comfort & Peace surround you during this difficult time.
