FreddieB was born in the lovely Sunny Southside of Marshall, Texas to the late Effie Donald and Curtis Wilder on April 22, 1942. He passed away on August 16, 2021, surrounded by family and close friends. FreddieB fought a good fight to the end, until God called him home. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NKJV) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
He was educated in the Marshall public schools. He graduate from Pemberton Sr. High School, and afterwards join the Army. He served 1 tour of duty. He lived in North Carolina, Dallas, and eventually settled down in Cedar Hill, TX.
FreddieB had a multitude of interest and hobbies. He like to travel, occasional fishing, loved to cook, really enjoyed visiting with family and friend. He also enjoyed playing dominoes with his buddy for life, Emory Nash, who was also his dear cousin. He also cherished his Sunday evenings conversations with, Lucia, his sister that lives in California.
FreddieB greatest passion was working in the church. He was a faithful member of Kirkwood Temple C.M.E. Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Jerry L. Christian Sr. He served as a loyal and faithful member for 27 years. He wore a few hats during his service there, he was a faithful Choir Member and was Choir Member of the Year; 2nd Vice President of the Mass Choir; worked with the Men's Ministry and truly loved his Men’s Sunday School Class.
FreddieB was proceeded in death by his parents, Effie Donald and Curtis Wilder, brother (Henry Wilder/Sunny boy), and wife (Bertha Donald).
FreddieB leaves to cherish his memories a host of loving family members and life-time friends.
