Franklin “Leo” Winters, Jr., 69, of Mesquite, TX passed from this earth on Friday April 1, 2016. Leo was born to Franklin Leo Winters, Sr., and Della Louise Winters. Leo Graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and started his career as a Mechanic and EVS Engineer. He worked at Empire Maintenance and Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital. He served in the Army National Guard Ordinance Corps during the Vietnam Conflict, from 1966 to 1971. He enjoyed Traveling, Fishing and Slot Car Racing. Leo is survived by Janice Winters, son Jason Winters and wife Crystal, brother Larry Winters, grandchildren Jesy, Stormi and Tyler, two great-grandsons, a niece and nephew and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Leo Winters, Sr., and his Mother Della Louise Winters and his beloved dog Princess Bella. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday April 7, 2016 at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. Honorary Pallbearers; Ronnie Riddell, David Riddell, Tony Griffen, and Jim Mapes.
