Using the GI Bill, he earned an engineering degree from Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland. He spent his entire career at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, running the international operations for over a decade and retiring as the company’s Executive Vice President. In retirement, he served on the boards of Parker Hannifin Corporation and Acme Steel and worked on perfecting his golf game in Stuart, Florida, before re-retiring to Asheville, North Carolina and then to Dallas, Texas to be near family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Caroline, and is survived by his son and daughter and their spouses, Bill and Jennifer LePage and Karyn and Paul Bradley, all of Dallas.
An avid golfer, swimmer and college basketball player, he negotiated contracts with foreign leaders, volunteered time on hospital boards, regional development boards, the Executive Counsel of the Boy Scouts and consulted on international politics. Frank leaves behind endless friends throughout the country.
The visitation will be on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 10am-noon at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX, 75225. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association in his honor.
