Our beloved Frank Gonzalez left this world on the 6th of February 2023 at the age of 72. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. Born on September 28th in 1950, he was the Son of Alberto and Paula Molina Gonzalez. Frank was born and raised in the section of inner city Dallas famously known as “Little Mexico.” As a young boy he excelled in academics and football. During his high school football playing years at Bishop Dunne High School he was selected by the Dallas Morning News and Dallas Times Herald as one of the best offensive lineman in the state of Texas. Upon graduating from high school, he would later be one of the first Hispanic graduates from the Southern Methodist University School of Business. While in college he also made time to coach inner city Pop Warner Football where he coached his team to the national championship in Disney World, Florida. A number of his former players would ultimately go on to play in Texas high schools and colleges all over the southwest. Shortly thereafter, he and his brother with the help of their father would establish Gonzalez Funeral Home, where he served as CFO. Gonzalez Funeral Home would go on to be one of the top independent funeral homes in America. His shrewd business acumen and personal leadership skills were a driving force to the firm’s success. While his commercial accomplishments were high on his list, his proudest legacy was being a father to his family where he insisted on hard work, determination and above all, integrity. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Alberto and Paula M. Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Juanita Chamberlain Gonzalez, his daughters Ana Laura, Rebeca Margarita (Carlos Rocha Sr.) and sons, Agustin Francisco and Emiliano Dionisio. And six grandchildren, Carlos Jr., Francisco, Alma, Nicolas, Vladimir and Nelson; Siblings, Albert Gonzalez and Mary DeLeon and numerous other family members and friends. Finally a special thank you to his personal physician, Dr. Luis Palacios, for the many years of dedicated care and service. He will be missed immensely and forever we will cherish the memories.
