Frances Yvonne Wilson

Visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas on May 18, 2019 from 10:00-12:00 pm. Graveside service will be held 12:00 pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Yvonne was born in Fort Worth, to Robert Grammer Branham and Ruth Ann Branham on August 5, 1935. She attended Robert Lee Paschal High School in Fort Worth and graduated in 1952. She graduated from Brentley Darughon College in 1954.

Yvonne is predeceased by her son, Philip C. Wilson and her parents, Robert G. Branham and Ruth Ann Branham.

Survived by the love of her life, Benton F. Wilson, whom she married on February 19, 1956; her son William S. Wilson; daughter Sharon J. Pope and husband Lance E. Pope; daughter Teresa D. Nichols; granddaughters Renee N. Pope, Laura D. Pope and Holly M. Nichols; brother Robert J. Branham and wife Ineta Branham; sister in-law, Billie Jean German; nephew and nieces, Robin Branham, Cyanna Carson, and Tanyau Caiati.

Yvonne worked at Armour Packing Company in Fort Worth until her son, William, was born in 1960. At that time she became a full-time homemaker and enjoyed her children while they were young. She returned to the workforce in 1978 and ultimately retired from Parkland Memorial Hospital in 2002.

Yvonne touched many lives with her beautiful smile. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, cooking and baking. She enjoyed showing her affection to those she loved by cooking their favorite meals or baking their favorite goodies when they came to visit. With four active children, she was the ultimate soccer mom before the term even existed. From volunteering at the various schools; soccer games; band and orchestra practices, concerts and competitions; den mother for Scouts; to holding multiple positions in various PTAs her dedication to her children was never ending
