I am thankful for the many years Mrs.  Riley  invested in me during my time in the youth  ministry at Concord Church. I’ll be forever grateful for her hugs, her humor and her instilling God’s word into me and so many other youth . Well- done, good and faithful servant. Rest In Peace, until  you rise again. 

Thankful for the wisdom, laughter, hugs and a lifetime of love and support given by Mrs. Riley. 

She gave young people at Concord encouragement, confidence, the Word of God and an example that was authentic, consistent, fun-loving and uplifting. 

She was hilarious and helpful, transparent, tried and true- a visionary who was sincere, resourceful, protective, dedicated and pioneering. 

She will live in our hearts forever.

In 2021, the Smith/Blair class leaders had a Zoom meeting. In that meeting, we each shared something that we loved to do.  Sister Riley said that she loved ballroom dancing and classical music.  Shortly afterwards, I started listening to classical music while I did my home bible study and devotion.  I find it calming and relaxing while I focus on reading the Word.  Now I think of Sister Riley when I play classical music.  Thank you Sister Riley...rest now in Heaven. 

I would sit with Francis and Earl in Sunday School at Concord. Usually they would start giggling. I blamed Francis and she would always say it was Earl. I would tell her that Earl was too quiet to do that. I did find out it was him but never told her. She said "he is pinching me!" I would separate them sometimes threaten them that I had to separate them because they were disrupting the class and all of us would start laughing! Francis I sure will miss you and don't go up there 
getting Earl in trouble! ☺Back together again! 💞💞

For the flexibility of being a stern educator and extended parent, to a fun-filled, in-touch, and real advocate for youth, you showed us that Christians can be celebrated and set apart and still be respected, responsible, and disciplined. Although you didn't let us make it while trying to blend in, you encouraged us to be the light we wanted to see in others so they would know us by our  love. We stand tall because we stood on your shoulders, Sis Riley! Rest in peace with your Maker, love!

When Earl introduced his special lady. We all asked. Where did you find this beautiful lady. And I do mean lady. Frances exhibited the qualities of an African Queen and she instantly became a Willis family member. Her elegance was always present and when some of needed counseling, she was always there(me). I will miss her, we all will miss her. Frances will save a spot for us in HEAVEN. LOVE YOU SIS.

I met Frances while working at USPS and would often see her at Concord because her Sunday school class was across from mine. She was always a classy lady. Lifting her family in prayer.
