Floyd E. Whittle passed away on February 17, 2023 at age 88. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne and children Janet Kaplan, Everett and Emil. He cherished his 11 Grand and Great Grand and Great Great Grandchildren. Floyd and Mary Anne were fortunate enough to have welcomed Virginia Oswald from Buckner's Children's Home as part of their bonus family. All family members shared his love for White Rock Lake. He and Mary Anne walked their dogs there nightly, visited the beloved ducks and enjoyed sunsets on their favorite bench. He was born on March 7, 1934 in Brush Creek, Arkansas to Fay & Grace Whittle and was one of 7 siblings. In 1952 he married his high school sweetheart Mary Anne Julian and relocated to Dallas, TX. Floyd enjoyed his volunteer work at CC Young Retirement Center. He also had beloved friends at the Park Cities YMCA he worked out with weekly. Floyd was absolutely a complete fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys and often had a round table with family to discuss. Floyd’s priceless words touched every family member in his own loving way, he was a family treasure. He had many work colleagues that he had cherished relationships with to this day. Floyd truly will be missed.
