Florence Lee Lively, of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was 77. Florence was born in New Orleans, La., on February 6, 1938. Her parents, Thomas Roger and Florence Lee Spiller, predecease her. Florence was an active parishioner at St. Monica’s Catholic Church for more than fifty years. Florence was very active in numerous church groups as well as the school. Those within her circle know her as very devoted to her faith and family. She was very family-oriented, hosting social events and holiday gatherings. Florence also enjoyed the company and entertainment of her friends and neighbors. Florence had a very creative side and she especially enjoying art and drawing. In addition to her parents, Florence is predeceased by her husband of over forty-five years, Frank Preston Lively. Those who remain to cherish her love and memory include: her daughters, Mary Comer and Patrice Schilder; her son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Sandra Lively; her grandchildren, Michael Comer, David Comer, Robert Comer, Melanie Schilder and Max Schilder; and her sister, Mary Dudley Alfonso. Family will receive friends at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 18, 2016 between 4-8PM. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas. a reception will be held at St. Monica's Family Center from 11AM-12:30PM. Interment will follow at 1:15PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
