Fay Beth Moore

She graduated from Arlington High School in 1951 and from the University of Texas at Austin in 1955. She met the love of her life, Stephen Louis Moore, Jr. at UT and they married in 1957. They moved to Dallas and started their family of four loving children.

Fay Beth was an outstanding leader and organizer; she put these skills to work as president of the UT Chi Omega chapter, president of the Dallas Chi Omega Alumnae and in 1987 was named Dallas Outstanding Chi Omega. Fay Beth also served in leading roles in the Theta Mother’s Club of Dallas, HPISD PTAs, Highland Park 75th Year Celebration, Women of the Church and Genesis Women’s Shelter. She also enjoyed her involvement with Dallas Woman’s Club, Dallas Country Club, Friday Book Club and The Craig Class. She knew serving others was serving God and loving others was loving God.

Fay Beth is survived by her husband of 65 years; Louis, son Steve Moore (Julie), daughters Charlotte Moore, Beth Hardesty and Susan Orlie (Michael), ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 4-6pm, Sparkman-Hillcrest, Dallas, TX. Memorial service and reception will be Monday, August 15, 2022, 10:30 am, Sparkman-Hillcrest Chapel.
