Fannie Lee Reeves was born June 4, 1924, in Elysian Fields, Texas, to Lela and Vinkler Jefferson. Fannie Lee made very good meals every time she was visited by her son and his family, when she lived in Dallas, Texas. She was stricken by Alzheimer’s disease and finally moved to San Antonio, Texas. Fannie Lee was cared for at home by her son and family until her final days. She will surely be missed by all that loved her.
On Friday, December 13, 2019, Fannie Lee Reeves was called from her labor on earth to her reward in Glory. She was welcomed by her loving husband, Alvin Reeves, Jr.; her parents; siblings, George Jefferson, Ethel Ballom, Willie Vee Hill, Eddie Jefferson, Dorothy Sherrod and Minnie Jefferson; and very close relatives, Lillie Belle Christian and Mattie Boston.
Fannie Lee is survived by her one and only son, Thurman C. Reeves, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Lala Boom; grandchildren, Cheryl Peel, Michelle L. Reeves, Lorlyn Reeves, Thurman Reeves, Jr., Barbara A. Reeves and Ronnie C. Reeves; brother, James Jefferson; sister, Annie Jackson; sister-in-law, Mary Blackman Jefferson and Mary E. Jefferson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-great grandchildren and innumerable relatives.
